The ribbed surface of the bizarre lemon makes its variety name “Bizzarro” fully justified. As many citrus species shown here, this comes from the large citrus collection of the Palmengarten Frankfurt. In this cultivation the decorative value undoubtedly stood in the foreground, less the utility. Nevertheless, the bizarre lemon like any other citrus is also edible. The fruits are juicy, which suggests a use for lemonade, marmelade and jelly.
